Comparison // vs Restaurant365

ORBIS vs Restaurant365.
Lighter. Autonomous. WhatsApp-first.

Restaurant365 is enterprise-grade back-office accounting for multi-unit operators with finance teams. ORBIS is autonomous AI for independent operators (1-5 locations) who do not want a finance team or a learning curve. Same outcomes (invoice audit, margin, P&L) plus six more, one channel: WhatsApp.

// At a glance

The short version.

If you operate 10+ units with a controller, Restaurant365 is the right backbone. If you run 1-5 independent restaurants and want fewer tools, ORBIS covers the same back-office work in one WhatsApp thread.

// Where ORBIS is different

Three things Restaurant365 does not do.

01. Built for independents, not chains.

R365 assumes a controller or finance team. ORBIS assumes the owner-operator who runs the floor. Different audience, different shape.

02. One channel handles seven jobs.

R365 splits work across 6+ modules (accounting, scheduling, inventory, reporting, etc.). ORBIS delivers all of it through one WhatsApp thread. Less to learn, less to remember, less to skip.

03. Outcomes, not modules.

R365 reports the data; you decide what to do. ORBIS decides and acts, escalating to you only when something crosses your threshold. The dispute is already filed when you find out about it.

// Where Restaurant365 is stronger

Honest call.

Restaurant365 has deeper multi-unit accounting depth: chart-of-accounts mapping across many locations, GL integration, enterprise reporting, payroll module, deep inventory. If you operate 10+ units with a controller or finance team, R365 is the right backbone. ORBIS is built for independent operators (1-5 locations) who would rather have outcomes in WhatsApp than master another six-module dashboard.

// FAQ

Common questions.

Is ORBIS a Restaurant365 alternative?

For independent 1-5 unit operators, yes. ORBIS covers the same invoice auditing, margin tracking, and P&L work R365 does, plus six more autonomous functions in WhatsApp. For 10+ unit chains with finance teams, R365 is the more mature pick.

Can ORBIS handle multi-location restaurants?

Up to ~5 locations comfortably. Beyond that, you need R365's chart-of-accounts depth and enterprise reporting. ORBIS is built for the independent operator, not the multi-unit chain.

Why WhatsApp instead of six dashboard modules?

Independent restaurant owners do not have time for six logins. ORBIS pings on WhatsApp only when something needs you, then handles the rest in the background. R365 expects you (or your controller) to log into modules; ORBIS expects you to run your restaurant.

Does ORBIS integrate with QuickBooks?

Not yet. Accounting-platform integrations are on the runway. Today ORBIS runs standalone for independents who do not yet have a GL workflow. R365 has years of QuickBooks plumbing - that is real depth ORBIS does not match yet.
